TODAY’S READING Day #101: The New Heaven and New Earth READ Revelation 21-22 (Read online at https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation+21-22&version=CSB) MAIN IDEA God remakes earth to be what He designed it to be from the very beginning – a place of Paradise where we can enjoy fellowship with Him and each other for all eternity. REFLECT What will the New Heaven and Earth be like? Who will spend all eternity there? When will Jesus return? APPLY No one knows the exact date but Jesus promises to return. It could be anytime and we need to be prepared. How are you preparing yourself? PRAY God, thank You for preparing a perfect place for believers to spend all eternity. Help us live with an expectation that Heaven will be beyond our greatest hope! Help us to be diligent in witnessing to all people that they may be included in that great number in heaven.

TODAY’S READING Day #100: Rejoicing in Heaven READ Revelation 19-20 (Read online at https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation+19-20&version=CSB) MAIN IDEA God gives us a glimpse of the reunion we will enjoy with Him in eternity as well as the defeat of Satan, the Antichrist, and the Judgment that is to come for unbelievers. REFLECT Will we know those who have preceded us in death? What is God’s plan for Satan and the Antichrist? Will those who have refused to receive Jesus as Savior have a second chance? APPLY Who are some people in your life that do not have a relationship with God? Make a list and pray for them daily that they might come to know Jesus as their Savior before it’s too late. PRAY God, thank You for the great reunion that will take place in eternity. Thank You that Satan will be destroyed and that Heaven will be a perfect place without evil and sin.

REFLECT What is the primary activity of the saints in heaven? Who leads worship in heaven? Do we have difficulty understanding the symbolism in the book of Revelation? APPLY When you go to a worship service this week, come in with a heart that is there to glorify God for who He is and what He has done in your life. Try to ignore what preferences of music, sound, or teaching style you have and just simply worship the one true God. PRAY Thank You, God, for revealing what heaven will be like and the opportunity to worship and praise Your holy name. Give me a heart of true worship here on this earth to prepare for an eternity with You.

REFLECT What is your first impression as you read about the churches John is writing about? Based on your involvement in church, what do you think God would write about the church you attend? APPLY Would God say you have a good reputation but you’re really dead? Would He call you luke warm, or would He say you have done what He has asked? How can you get more involved in the ministry that happens at your church? PRAY God, show me what part I need to play to help our church be more effective at becoming a church of disciples making disciples. Show me where I can use my gifts and talents to serve others through my church.

REFLECT Read verse 3 again and think about how well you have been obeying God’s principals over the past few weeks. What emotions do you have when you read about how Jesus freed us from our sins? How does it encourage you when John writes that Jesus is coming back again one day? APPLY Pick out one area of your life in which you have struggled with obedience and write down some action steps of how you can overcome that struggle. PRAY God, reveal Your love to me in a new way this week so that I can’t help but want to change your life to live for You.

REFLECT Who are we to lay our lives down for? What does that mean if it is not referring to physical death? If a believer does not love, what does that signify? APPLY Write down a list of seven things you can today to “love loud.” Now pick one of those things and commit to do it in the next hour. PRAY Lord, show me areas in my life where I do not love others in such a way as You would have me love. Give me the power and strength to truly love in such a way.

REFLECT What is the power behind the living hope we have in Jesus Christ? According to 2:1 what are we to desire for our spiritual growth? APPLY Write down the one thing that redeems us found in 1:19. Take 30 seconds and reflect on the cross and sacrifice of Christ. Because of the sacrifice in Christ, write down how this should motivate us to be different according to 2:1. PRAY God, I pray for those in my life that are in the midst of trials. Give them endurance that they might come through the trial with a pure faith.
